MEET THE OWNERS, COLE LAUTZENHEISER & JOEY BUTERA
The Painting+ Story
Painting+ began with two high school best friends, a shared dream, and a whole lot of courage. In 2019, Cole Lautzenheiser and Joey Butera left the safety of full-time jobs and took a leap of faith. They were determined to build something of their own, rooted in hard work and a higher purpose. What started as a handful of local projects quickly turned into a thriving painting business with deep community roots. Since day one, the projects haven’t stopped, and neither has their passion.
Cole is a member of First Christian Church New Philadelphia, a board game enthusiast with a collection that would impress any strategist, and a movie buff with The Dark Knight topping his list of all-time favorites. In his free time, Cole loves spending time with his wife and their daughter.
Joey, a member of Damascus Friends Church, is the guy who always knows the best local Mexican spot whenever the crew’s working in a new town. He’s one of six brothers, many of whom have also run businesses in real estate, and landscaping. Entrepreneurship is practically in his DNA. When he’s not painting, Joey loves spending time with his wife and their three children.
Together, Cole and Joey lead Painting+ with a commitment that goes far beyond brushstrokes. They believe every home and business tells a story, and that story deserves to be honored with integrity, attention to detail, and heartfelt service.
